Traditionally Delicious

Located 100 meters outside of the hotel complex, the Casa das Espetadas specializes in traditional wood burning cooking, with plenty of Madeira Folklore and Fado entertainment thrown into the mix! “Espetadas” (skewers with a fragrant laurel stick) are a bit of an institution in Madeira, so we sought to create a restaurant that makes the locals proud!

The décor heroes Madeira tradition, which includes a faithful reproduction of the emblematic Casas de Santana on the outdoor terrace.

Traditional eaters tend to go for the classic beef “espetada”, but there are also options of chicken, tuna, pork, or other seasonal specialties. The island’s favorite bread “Bolo do Caco” is made in front of your eyes and cooked next to the open wood fire and there’s also room for the Madeira staple that is the Poncha beverage!
